General Body Meeting of Parent Teachers’ Association- 2024- ‘25

St Cecily’s High School held the annual General Body Meeting of the PTA  on 20th July 2024.

The meeting commenced with a soulful prayer song invoking God’s blessings followed by a heartwarming welcome dance by the students. The Headmistress, St Preethi Crasta A.C. then led the chief guest Mrs Soujanya Shetty, counselor and administrative officer, Dr A. V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Doddanagude, the Joint Secretary, Sr Therese Jyothi A.C., and Mr Soheal Amin, Vice President, PTA 2023-’24 to the dais and accorded a cordial welcome to all. She introduced the chief guest to the audience.

Students  who scored 90% and above were then felicitated by the chief guest as well as the Joint Secretary.

In her address to the gathering , Mrs Sounjany Shetty highlighted the evolved traits of the present generation of children and also shed light the various challenges that today’s parents experience in grooming the teens. She cited some case studies which made the parents alert about the dangers or problems teenagers may face such social media addiction and sexual abuse.

She emphasized that our mindset towards nurturing today’s teen must not be obsolete but abreast to the present -day needs.

Faculties, Sr Lavina Anitha A.C. and Mr Edwin Mendonca presented the brief report of the previous year’s PTA and the audited statement of accounts respectively. This was followed by the selection of the members for   PTA ExecutiveBody- 2024-’25.

Mrs Sarita compered the programme and Mr Preetham Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.

The Meeting concluded with the National anthem.
