The P.T.A. General Body Meeting of  St Cecily’s High School, Udupi   was held on Saturday, 22nd July 2023 at the school auditorium. 

The Meeting began with a devotional classical prayer dance performed by students.

The Headmistress, Sr Preethi Crasta A.C. rendered a warm welcome to the chief guest for the event, Dr Mrs Preethi Keerthi D’ Souza who is an Associate Professor at the Department of  Post Graduate Studies & Research in Commerce, Mangalore University, Mangalore as well as all those who attended the Meeting.   27 students of SSLC 2022-’23 batch who scored 95% and higher marks in the Board Exams held in April ’23 were honoured by the chief guest- Dr Preethi and the Joint Secretary of the school- Sr Therese Jyothi A.C. 

The prodigy-Tanushree, of class 10, who attempted and succeeded in making a Guinness Record for highest number of  Backward Body Skips on 21st July, was also felicitated for her commendable accomplishments.

In her interactive address to the attendees Dr Preethi D’Souza emphasized beautiful and practical facts of parenting today’s teenagers.  She emphasized that parents are the real heroes for every child and they must accept their children’s abilities and inabilities and appreciate as well as identify their child’s  forte in aspects other than studies too. Finally she urged parents to give quality time to children and also help them face problems  rather than run away from them. She wound up her speech with the well-known motivational song ‘Hum Hoge Kamyab’

After the Chief Guest’s address, Mrs Saritha, the Kannada teacher of the school led the procedure of formation of the PTA Executive Body for the academic year, wherein interested parents volunteered to be Members.

Sr Jenifer D’Souza A.C. presented  the report of  PTA meetings and statement of accounts of the previous year, Mr Pritham Pinto proposed the vote of thanks and  Mr Edwin Pinto compered the programme.
